"I've been to several float studios in the Seattle area and this is hands down my favorite float location in Seattle. First thing I like about Float Seattle is the design of the studio, ambiance, and location. Then once you get into one of their float tanks I like how they are actually dark, large, and quiet. All float tanks are not created equal and luckily at Float Seattle the tanks are better than the majority out there. Highly recommend Float Seattle, good place to start floating."

"This float place is one of the best businesses in the area in general in my opinion. The place is clean, staff is friendly, and to top it all off their float memberships are so flexible that I was surprised at some of the stuff they will let you do with the membership and I obviously had to get one after that. The only negative is the parking is a little crammed."

"I had the best float today.  My best ever.  I scheduled a last minute middle of the day session because I needed desperately to re-center myself and this did the trick. I've been smiling since I first put my foot in the water. There is nothing that can beat floating once you've gotten the hang of how to meditate and leave earthly worries behind. I'm serious.  I take my mind and go somewhere else in the cosmos while I'm in there.  It's amazing. Please try it if you haven't yet.
I've been going on and off to both locations for about 4 years now.  I started out in the Seattle location and was over joyed when they opened up"

"I love Float Seattle.. they are clean, quiet, their water is always really well balanced and the facility is so nice and cozy and did I mention... quiet?!! I've been to four in the Seattle area and this is the best experience by far.  I think if I had my first float at one of the other venues I might not have tried it again. The facility really makes a difference in the experience."

"I've been floating at float Seattle since they opened and have had nothing but amazing experiences with them. Today was my first time floating in their Bellevue location with their pods and I was pleasantly surprised. Jacob, the employee up front, did a great job accommodating me and even gave me directions and stayed on the phone while the found my way all the way to the front door. "

"FLOAT On Brothers and sisters.. Whoa, tried floating and I am a fan so far!

I am a person with a very busy mind, full of worries and monkeys smashing cymbals. I thought how in the heck am I gonna relax and float in a dark tank? My husband purchased a Groupon, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Your first float may take a bit to relax but once you do, whoa!!
The Staff is very friendly and explain everything well! The website does too! Facilities here are CLEAN, ZEN and I like the spa quality light scent of the soaps and shampoos you use before and after your soak. Clean Towels and ear plugs provided and there is a hairdryer in the main restroom here as well, but you will need to bring your own hairbrush.

I think each float will be different, I was tired so I slept part of it even. If you hit REM like I did you will feel very disoriented after, I also felt like I had a chiro adjustment or something as well? I felt relaxed with that just cracked feeling as my neck relaxed! Take a moment to sit after and write in the Float book and finish your water.  I'll be back as I gotta try it again!"

"I've been floating for almost 2 years now and prefer Float Seattle. I agree with other reviews that the location is a bit 'industrial' rather than 'spa' - but the service is so great. And they're upgrading their showers shortly.  I definitely recommend doing at least 3 floats before you decide if you like it (it took me that long to be sure).  Float Seattle is great not only because of their friendly, relaxed attitude (onsite and online) but because you can usually find parking not too far away (it is Green Lake - so it's always a bit busy).  If you've never floated before, you might try the Ocean tank first - it's a lot more 'open' than the others."

"After floating half a dozen times in their Seattle location, I learned that they were exploring opening an eastside location. Today I floated in their new location in Bellevue and I am very excited to have them so close to home and work. I've floated in five different facilities in the Seattle area over the last 20 years and Float Seattle, and now Float Bellevue, are truly outstanding. The facilities are excellent, but the people are what make the most difference to me. All of the staff I've met have a genuine passion for floating and have seemed sincerely interested in making sure I had the best experience possible. Their customer service is outstanding and I've never felt pressured or like I'm being sold to, the way I have at other facilities. The owner Sean strikes me as a person of great integrity and it shows in the team he's put together and the quality of his business."

"Amazing experience! Staff are very welcoming, but not pushy about buying memberships or anything, which creates a very relaxing environment. Clean and comfortable as well! Great place to float, I recommend it to anyone that is even slightly interested."

"I love going to float -- been there 5 or 6 times now. They're open late, staff is always friendly, and I'm so glad to have a center in a convenient location.

Floating isn't for everyone, but if you're into meditation at all (and curious about seeing how your monkey mind behaves in the absence of any stimuli) I'd highly recommend it."

"This place is excellent! I will say that it's a bit confusing to find (they do try to explain ahead of time in their confirmation email), but I just called when I was close. Andrew cheerfully answered, and gave me precise directions. Andrew also was the person to greet my girlfriend and I at the door. We were celebrating our anniversary, and this was a first time experience for the both of us. After explaining that to him, he proceeded to thoroughly explain the ins and outs of Float Bellevue. The facility is very clean, and they do an excilent job at providing a relaxing float experience! My girlfriend and I both intend on adding this to our routine, and look forward to our next visit!"

"What an experience! A great place to unwind and take an hour or two for yourself.  I've been going to Float Seattle for some time now and it has become a part of my regular routine just like working out, eating healthy etc...I would totally recommend going at least once or twice a week--its awesome to see how you begin to develop your own Float routine and how much better you feel.  More clarity, energy, and lower stress levels! Great location, staff, and the environment everyone creates!"

"Andrew Was Amazing! I went in for my first float last night with my girlfriend and we were both a little skeptical of the whole thing. We thought that it was going to be claustrophobic, "cold", all around just awkward. As soon as we walked through the doors our stress was relieved. Andrew offered us great advice for the complete experience, form his personal experiences to others. It really is a great way to relieve stress, tension, anxiety. Signed up and ready for the next! Thank you!"

"As you step through the Float Seattle Staff greats you by name while the humidity wraps around your buddy warming you up for your float.  These folks have it all set up for you, you could literally walk over from a picnic at Green Lake and everything you need is there for you at the studios.  Towels, soaps, shampoos all provided along with complimentary water and when you've completed there's a bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer... no one will even know you left. #peacemode"

"Best place to heal EVER! My hour long floats helped to heal my fractured knee quickly while moving forward with less pain. As a 55 year old woman who has never broken or fractured anything before and had only heard horror stories of how incredibly painful it is to mobilize limbs after immobilization, I was concerned. For me this was not the case, because during my healing I was able to come once a week and move my knee while floating at Float Seattle. I have told everyone that I see with braces or casts about my discovery and they have delighted in the idea keeping movement going while their limbs are healing."

"This place is amazing!  I had never done a float before but have heard a lot about them.  So I bought a package deal special right after Thanksgiving for 3 floats.  I figured I couldn't go too wrong.  And I was definitely correct!!!  The staff are very friendly and helpful.  They explained everything in a very kind, patient manner.  I was thankful to hear that you can keep your light on in the pod or in the room if needed.  Just made me feel better since it was my first time!  But within about 2 minutes of being in the pod I turned off the light and really enjoyed the experience!  It's a completely safe and wonderfully relaxing hour.   I have since been back twice and even bought another package of 3 floats.  For me, it is not only about the relaxation and "letting go" but for the high amounts of magnesium from the salts.  I feel less pain after my sessions and of course experience a calm mind and body.   The combination is so important for me since I am working with chronic Lyme Disease as well as a recent toxic gas exposure.  Online scheduling is very easy, which I also appreciate!"

"The best float center around Seattle for sensory reduction (light and noise). Very simple and clean! I've tried floating a hand full of times and I keep coming back to this particular spot. The staff is always nice and seem genuinely interested in talking about your experience. I've talked to Max and Will, both great dudes. A bit spendy, but you can't put a price on an hour's worth of quiet time."

"My wife and I had our first float experience here this past weekend and it was great! The person who welcomed us and explained things was very kind and informative and made us feel comfortable. The float itself was a fascinating experience and one I'd suggest everyone try at least once and Float Seattle is a great place to do so!"

"I located this little gem of a place off of Groupon. I have floated many times before down in LA and completely forgot how obsessed I was. I am SO glad I found FLOAT!

I came after a deep tissue massage since I have recently been in a car accident with severe whip lash as a result. Wow - I can completely stretch out (im 5'4) and move my arms over my head in the pod with little to no pain (or really touching any of the pod). I did my stretches my physical therapist suggested for overhead, etc. Laying down now hurts my back - free floating on my back with no pain was a little sparkle of what my life used to be like. I honestly forgot if my eyes were open or closed -- I turned the pod light for full sensory result. Felt like I was floating in a beyond magical place - the eyes start to relax and stresses melt away.

Pros:
Quiet, serene, great staff, phone etiquette is fantastic and kind demeanor. How do I say this without losing a "professional" tone... the staff is super COOL! (Like laid back, Southern California beach cool).
Cons: None. Just a pro tip - don't even mess with getting the water on your face. Drips drive you nuts and the water tastes HORRIBLE and burns the eyes. Hang a towel over the side of the pod when getting in and closing it and you got yourself a emergency towel in case you are a stretcher like myself.

PARKING: Can be a little confusing to get into this place as it is in a apartment complex. Don't listen to Siri - mine took me to 11th and tried dropping me off to walk a block. Enter the parking garage on 12th street heading EAST - it will be on the right.

All in all -  I left beyond happy with the results and can't wait to regularly float with Bellevue and Seattle."

"I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon Float Seattle. Floating is such a wonderful way to expand your mind and treat your body. It's like you're looking in the mirror for the first time. Also, the people here are some of the most genuine I've ever met. Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit or 3."

"You can't really compare this to getting acupuncture, a massage, or anything else for that matter.. Floating is an experience in its own category, and (in my opinion) it's better than all of that other stuff combined. It's like giving your mind a spa day, the inner relaxation inevitably relaxing your outer being. If you've ever wished you could just crawl back into the womb -- stop by Float Seattle.

The space is immaculate, and they seem to really have the whole process ironed out. The staff probably floats often, which would explain why they were so happy and helpful. It was my first time floating, and they were great about answering my questions and breaking down what it's all about. After I emerged from the tank feeling like a new man, I bought a gift certificate for my brothers upcoming birthday. Floating is something everyone can enjoy, so if you're even the tiniest bit curious and could use a little clarity in your life, grab a friend and go float."

"Just finished my first float at Float Bellevue and I am so relaxed. I have floated a couple of times at Float Seattle and this place is a classy addition to the experience. It's minimalist like the Seattle location, but in a different way. Similar theme, but fits Bellevue better. The new float pods are so cool. It's all the same when you're laying in the dark, but waking in and seeing a beautiful glowing float pod is where the relaxation begins. The staff person was great, facilities are clean, the experience was top-notch. Another customer was getting out of another float room as I was getting out of mine and we agreed that this was a great float experience. Complete darkness, complete silence, fully floating, fully relaxed."

"Try it, you'll like it!
Full disclosure here - I was the owner's camp counselor so I might be biased a bit (but I don't think so).
I teach Cycle and TRX classes, work full time, and maintain a regular workout schedule on my own. A few months ago I was sidelined by an arthritic knee and subsequent back strain brought on by doing too much too soon. I decided to take the plunge!
I have floated four times. Each time it is more relaxing.
I get in, shut the door and just relax. How often can you get an hour of time to be quiet and still with no distractions? This is it.
I am in love...
love the darkness
love the quiet
love the shower before and after
love the weightlessness when I am in the tank
love the hours of operation, the decor, the employees... everyone has been very helpful.
They have a great introductory float special... it's worth the expense.
I am finding it to be a useful tool in my injury recovery."

"To be honest, I was initially hesitant to conquer my first floating experience. Embracing change is one thing but to welcome the unknown -- on your own -- is another, much more difficult, thing.

But by choosing to float, and by choosing to let go of the distorted securities that surround our familiarities, we anchor ourselves in consciousness -- something that is sadly becoming harder and harder to do in this day & age.

So, no matter who you are or how you define yourself, I am confident that your first float will leave you with an unforgettable personal experience and I challenge anyone who welcomes self-reflection and new age meditation practices to consider sensory deprivation tanks as a guide to living in the moment. You don't have to be a hippie, wear yoga pants or practice Buddhism, you just have to be willing to give something amazing the benefit of the doubt, even if it is intimidating at first.

That being said, Float Seattle is where you want to have this experience. The facilities are extremely well kept, modern and genuinely the best in the industry. The staff is comprised of a spectrum of awesome individuals that will walk you through your first float at a suitable pace based on your needs. They aren't judgemental -- they are welcoming and it's the subtle details like that, details I appreciate, that truly make Float Seattle stand out as a sensory deprivation establishment."

"Dimly lit, peaceful, calming, quiet facility. Everything was clean and well maintained. There are two styles of "pod"- one smaller and more traditionally pod shaped, the other is similar to a tall bath chamber. Not sure if the experience did anything for me but this location is immaculate."

"I had a great time and loved the emails that came both before and after my session...
I scheduled my first visit for after work and it was perfect, walked from work, to float, then home. I found that I slept really well afterward and that after the float session it seemed I had a little less chatter in my head, I was more present if that makes sense.
They even have a hair dryer. Totally relaxing, alone, in a dark warm place is pretty divine. I'll be back again soon."

"I just had my first experience in the float tank, and I am officially addicted. It lived up to all my expectations, and then some. My only complaint was that I wanted to stay in the tank longer, but my time ran out. I can't wait for my second visit, because I think I will relax much quicker & will be able to go even deeper into my mind. Such a cool experience. JUST DO IT!!!!"
