From past challenge finishers

"I love floating once a week! My chronic back pain is long gone... My sister is also a float enthusiast now too. Floating once a week keeps her joints in motion and pain-free. Float Seattle is like the fountain of youth for us. I am 61 years young and my sister is 59 years young. We feel as good as we did in our thirties and give credit to our weekly float sessions."
Sue S.
"Although I still have to work at it, I am less stressed and a lot more mellow. [The biggest takeaways for me were] the ability to consciously relax myself. Visualizations and getting closer to my inner mind and senses. Also being able to connect with others about my experiences."
Pam B.
"I was able to work on balancing my energy [and] deepen my intention to go inward with my practices."
Tee H.

Questions, answered

What exactly is the Summer Challenge?

Six sessions in six weeks. You pick a track when you sign up: six 60-minute floats, or six 60-minute Fire & Ice sessions. Then you show up, roughly once a week, and let the repetition do the work. Complete all six and you earn a reward on top.

Why run a challenge in summer?

Honestly? Summer is our quieter season, and that works entirely in your favor. Schedules are more open, your preferred times are easier to book, and the studios are at their calmest. It's the easiest time of year to hold a weekly rhythm.

And that rhythm matters most in September. Fall has a way of rearranging everyone's life: school starts, work ramps up, the light shortens, the calendar fills. If your practice is already six weeks deep when that shift hits, you meet it differently. You arrive with a nervous system that knows how to downshift on demand, and that shows up as steadiness, clearer thinking, and more capacity for whatever the season asks of you. You're building the habit before you need it.

What should I expect over the six weeks?

The first session or two are about learning the environment: where your body settles, what your mind does with the quiet. By the middle weeks, most people find the downshift comes faster; you stop working at relaxing and start dropping in on arrival. By week six, the session isn't an event anymore, it's a rhythm your nervous system recognizes. That's the difference between trying a float and having a practice.

When can I sign up?

Enrollment is open August 1 through August 10. Purchase links will only be active during that time.

Can I mix floats and Fire & Ice sessions?

No trading credits. You choose one track at signup and your six credits apply to that track. If you want to do both, you're more than welcome to do so! No additional discount.

When do my credits expire?

Six weeks from your purchase date. Unused credits expire and there are no extensions. That deadline is the point of the challenge: it's what turns six sessions into a practice instead of a "someday".

Can I share credits with a friend or partner?

No. Challenge credits are personal to the purchaser and can't be used for guests. The challenge is yours.

How do I book my sessions?

Book online or through our booking system the same way you'd book any session. Your challenge credits are attached to your account and applied when you book.

Should I book all six sessions up front?

There are two good approaches, and they suit different people. The first: prebook the same time each week, all six sessions, before life gets a vote. Same day, same slot, decision made once. The rhythm builds itself into your routine. The second: experiment. Try mornings versus evenings, weekdays versus weekends, and notice what your schedule and your body actually prefer.

It's also worth roaming. Each of our studios has its own feel, and different tank styles float differently. Six sessions is enough runway to find your spot. Either way, book your next session before you leave the studio. That's the move that keeps the streak alive.

Will you help me stay on track?

Yes. Throughout the challenge we'll send occasional check-in messages with booking reminders and tips for getting the most out of each session. Light accountability, not spam. There's power in consistency, and we'll help you keep yours.

How do I get the $199 member price?

Become a member! Check out floatseattle.com/membership for more info. Our members always get the best perks.

What do I get for finishing?

Members earn one bonus float, valid for 30 days after completion. Non-members who join with a 3-month membership commitment get their first month's $69 membership fee waived. That free month includes 1 float and all standard member perks and pricing. Claim within 14 days of completing the challenge. Either way, the real prize is six weeks of consistent practice and what that does for your nervous system.

What is Fire & Ice?

Our contrast therapy session: deliberate heat followed by deliberate cold in a private 60-minute session (IR sauna and cold plunge). Heat opens circulation and downshifts the body. Cold sharpens it back up. Alternating the two trains your recovery response.

Which locations can I use?

Float sessions can be booked at any of our five studios: Greenlake, Greenwood, South Lake Union, Bellevue, and Renton Landing. Fire & Ice sessions are available at Greenlake, Greenwood, Renton, and Bellevue.

Do challenge credits count toward member perks?

No, we don't allow stacking of promotions. Challenge credits are heavily discounted and do not count toward member visit perks, specifically the 4th-float-free benefit.
