Here’s what you need to know…
What Are HSAs & FSAs?
HSAs and FSAs are tax-advantaged accounts that allow you to pay for eligible health and wellness expenses using pre-tax dollars. Contributions are made before taxes, helping you save money while investing in your health.
Can I Use HSA/FSA Funds for Floating & Wellness Services?
Yes — many of our guests use their HSA or FSA funds to pay for Float sessions, IR Sauna, Fire & Ice Contrast Therapy, Red/NIR light therapy, and other restorative services at Float Seattle.
To qualify, your plan may require that the service be recommended by a licensed healthcare provider through a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for conditions like:
Chronic pain or muscle tension
Stress, anxiety, or burnout
Sleep disturbances
Injury recovery or inflammation
Nervous system dysregulation
Where to Start
Consult your provider – Talk to your doctor, physical therapist, or other licensed wellness professional about whether floating or our wellness services may support your condition.
Check eligibility – Contact your HSA/FSA plan administrator and ask if float therapy or related services qualify under your plan.
We Accept HSA/FSA Cards
At checkout, you can use your HSA or FSA debit card just like a credit card. In case your card is declined:
You can pay with another method and
Submit your receipt to your plan for reimbursement.
What Can I Purchase?
If accepted by your plan, you may use your HSA/FSA funds for individual services, packages, and most importantly - a regular membership.
Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) — What You Should Know
If required by your plan, an LMN must be issued/signed by a licensed healthcare provider (MD, DO, PA, ARNP, etc.).
It should specify the condition, the recommended service (e.g., float therapy, infrared sauna), and the frequency.
Float Seattle can provide a template you bring to your provider — you simply complete and submit, the provider signs it.
We do not provide diagnoses or LMNs ourselves. We can give detailed receipts.
Why Use HSA/FSA Funds for Wellness?
Pre-tax advantage – You use money that hasn’t been taxed yet.
Access to wellness – Make larger wellness investments more affordable.
Holistic health support – Treat both body and mind with restorative services.
Ease & flexibility – We provide all documentation you need for claims.
