Heating Method:
Infrared Sauna: Uses infrared heaters to emit radiant heat that is absorbed directly by the skin, allowing for deep heat penetration at lower temperatures.
Traditional Sauna: Heats the air with a wood, electric, or gas heater, which then heats the body indirectly at higher temperatures.
Temperature:
Infrared Sauna: Operates at a lower temperature range of about 120°F to 150°F (49°C to 65°C).
Traditional Sauna: Typically runs at higher temperatures from 150°F to 195°F (65°C to 90°C).
Humidity:
Infrared Sauna: Features low humidity as it does not involve water over hot stones.
Traditional Sauna: Can have higher humidity levels, particularly when water is added to heated rocks to generate steam.
Health Benefits:
Both types of saunas promote relaxation, improved circulation, and muscle pain relief. However, the infrared sauna's direct heat can more effectively target muscle tissues and joints, possibly enhancing these health benefits at a more comfortable temperature.
-
Skin Health & Radiance: Infrared waves support collagen production, improve circulation, and leave your skin looking refreshed and vibrant.
Recovery & Repair: The deep heat helps loosen muscle tension, enhance tissue repair, and accelerate your rebound after workouts or stres
Restful Sleep & Calm Nervous System: As your body warms, your nervous system shifts toward rest-and-repair—setting the stage for deeper sleep and stabilized energy.
Cardiovascular & Detox Support: The heat elevates circulation, supports lymphatic flow, and promotes overall system resilience.

All locations providing this service have Clearlight Sanctuary II* Full Spectrum Infrared Saunas.
Bring a guest for $10/session.
*Exception: Renton’s sauna is a Sanctuary I and accommodates 1 person only
Our saunas are heated to 145°F unless we get a different request. Due to the nature of our space and running appointments all day, we cannot guarantee anything above 150°F, but we'll try our best for those who love the heat (our saunas max out at 158°F, regardless). As mentioned above, the magic of IR saunas comes from the IR itself and not necessarily the heat. You get full benefits between 125-145°F.

Always listen to your body. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell during your session, exit the sauna and hydrate immediately.

What to Wear: Swimsuits are best! Lightweight clothing (shorts, tank) is fine too. Please refrain from full nudity due to the shared nature of our space.
Hydrate: Before, during, after!
Before You Arrive: Avoid heavy meals or applying oils/lotions within an hour of your session. Makeup wipes are provided.
After Your Session: Towels are provided (no in-room shower). Cool down before dressing and rehydrate well. Want the full experience? Book a float afterward for the ultimate mind-body reset.
Timing Tip: If pairing with a float, book your sauna 45 minutes before your float start time. A 15-minute cool-down is built-in intentionally.
